Floyd Porter III

SIKESTON - Floyd Porter III, 51, died at 2:45 p.m. March 9, 2002, at his home.

Born July 16, 1950, in Sikeston, son of Lila M. Gray Porter of Sikeston and the late Floyd Porter Jr., he was a self-employed mechanic and a member of the steel workers union in St. Louis. He had been an iron worker and had worked on larger bridge construction jobs and the construction of the Calloway County Nuclear Power Plant at Fulton. He also had worked as a truck driver.

In addition to his mother he is survived by three aunts: Maxine Martin of Festus, Part Malugen of Fenton and Virginia Blumenberg of Whitewater.

The body was cremated and no services are planned.
