Corena Dumey

CHAFFEE - Corena J. Dumey, 93, died at 6:43 p.m. March 9, 2002, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.

Born Jan. 1, 1909, at New Hamburg, daughter of the late John and Katherine Schmidt Schaeffer, she was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church and the Daughters of St. Ambrose.

On Nov. 7, 1926, she married Eugene W. Dumey who preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1995.

One son, three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three daughters, Doris Tucker of St. Louis and Helen Hopkins and Anna Crain of Jackson; and 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel where parish prayers are scheduled for 7 p.m.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
