Sally McKinney

JEFFERSON CITY - Sally Azilee McKinney, 83, died Feb. 17, 2002, at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged.

Born Oct. 12, 1918, in Fayette County, Ala., daughter of the late James P. and Anne-Orpha Elizabeth Perry Jones, she graduated in 1938 from Matthews High School in Matthews. She earned an associate degree in teaching from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and was a cosmetic manufacturing assistant for Chesebrough Ponds for 13 years before retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Church of Christ - Dix Road.

On Dec. 21, 1941, in Sikeston, she married Glenn M. McKinney who preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 1992.

Survivors include: three sons, Neal McKinney of Wichita, Kan., Booth McKinney of Columbus, Ga., and Boyd McKinney of Holts Summit; one sister, Earline Dickson of Sikeston; and four grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were five brothers, Cleddie Jones, Herbert Jones, Wallace Jones, William Jones and Wilburn Jones; and one sister, Lucille McDonald.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home in Jefferson City where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Brent Newton will officiate.

Burial will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
