Louise Jackson
DEXTER - Louise Jackson, 87, died June 7, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.
Born Oct. 5, 1914, at Lane's Ferry, Tenn., daughter of the late George A. and Betty Elizabeth Thompson Pledge, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had been employed by Swift Hatchery in Dexter.
On Jan. 9, 1937, at Newbern, Tenn., she married John Willard Jackson who preceded her in death on June 14, 1980.
Survivors include: two sons, Gene Jackson of Albany, Ore., and Greg Jackson of Dexter; one daughter, Sue Absher of Dexter; three brothers, J.T. Pledge of Springville, Tenn., Glenn Pledge of Chicago, Ill., and Charles Pledge of Sheraton, Wyo.; one sister, Ella Phillips of Paris, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Mike Jackson; one brother, Robert Pledge; and two sisters, Pauline Pledge and Nora Pledge.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Dr. Melvin Gainer will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
