Clara Halter

ORAN - Clara Lucina Halter, 101, died July 13, 2002, at Delmar Garden West in Chesterfield.

Born June 2, 1901, at St. Louis, daughter of the late Charles and Katie Mary Hahn Lux, she was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran and the Ladies Sodality of the church.

On Aug. 3, 1920, in New Hamburg, she married Lawrence Halter who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1987.

She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Survivors include: four sons, Cornelius Halter of Mount Pleasant, Mich., Herman Halter and Jerome Halter of St. Louis and Norman Ray Halter of San Antonio, Texas; and 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel where parish prayers are scheduled for 7 p.m.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. John Harth officiating.

Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
