Henry Sager
CHARLESTON - Henry G. Sager, 69, died June 6, 2002, at the Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Feb. 15, 1933, in Dixon, Tenn., son of the late Sam and Rosie Sager, he lived in Missouri for more than 60 years. He was a retired farmer and member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Henson, where he served as an usher.
On Dec. 4, 1951, he married Remmite Cassell who preceded him in death on Sept. 12, 1999.
Survivors include: six sons, Henry Sager Jr. of Aurora, Ill., Gary Sager and Anthony Sager of Charleston and James Sager, Bryant Sager and Patrick Sager of Memphis; eight daughters, Dorothy Auston, Rose Guy, Debra Suggs, Laticia Hibbler and Anntanett Sager of Memphis, Vanessa Clark of Charleston and Charisty Covington and Carleen Sager of Aurora; one sister, Annie Mae Verner of Charleston; and 28 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from noon Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Charleston. The Rev. William Watson, pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Henson, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
