Doris Wise

SIKESTON - Doris L. Wise, 70, died June 6, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 28, 1931, in East Prairie, daughter of the late Mounce and May Wilson Stewart, she was a member of the First Christian Church in Sikeston.

On April 16, 1983, in Bloomfield, she married Q.B. Wise who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Randy Hale of Sikeston and Stephen Hale of Carbondale, Ill.; three daughters, Barbara Cooper of Kingsville, Texas, Sheila Buchanon of DeSoto, Ill., and Linda Danko of Streator, Ill.; three brothers, Chester Stewart of Oklahoma City, Okla., David Stewart of Hurst, Texas, and Garry Dale Stewart of East Prairie; two sisters, Ruth Bone of Kennett and Frances Gerberding of Waterloo, Ill.; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nora Brack and Darlene Harris.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Allen Shriver, senior minister of the First Christian Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
