FESTUS - Lois Warren Shain, 73, formerly of Sikeston, died June 6, 2002, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.

Born Aug. 9, 1928, in Ardeola, daughter of the late Ivery Cecil and Inez Madeline Cox Warren, she was a credit adjuster for Union Electric, retiring in 1989 after 28 years of service. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Festus-Crystal City, she was also a member of Chapter 417 Order of the Eastern Star and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 1455.

Her husband, John W. "Bill" Shain, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Suzanne Collier of Mableton, Ga., and Patricia and Steve Nelle of Crystal City; one son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Donna Shain Jr. of Festus; four sisters, Reva Faulkner of Patterson, Elmira Lynn of Coldwater, Virginia Fulbright of Imperial and Nadine Garland of Herculaneum; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Eugene Warren and Marvin Kenneth Warren; and one grandson, Christopher Todd Collier.

Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.

Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. Monday until service time at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Festus. The Rev. Margie Woods, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at Crystal City.
