FLOWOOD, Miss. - William Dale Williford, 61, formerly of Charleston and Wyatt, Mo., died June 21, 2002, at Jackson.

Born July 3, 1940, in Mississippi County, son of Claireece Rife of Mocksville, N.C., and the late Vernon Williford, he was a construction and wood worker and member of the Song Writer's Guild.

His wife, Charlotte Williford, survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: three sons, William Dale Williford of Wigby, Wash., Dale William Williford of Lacey, Wash., and Vernon Scott Williford of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Kim Williford of Phoenix, Ariz., and Brandy Williford McDonald of Pearl; five brothers, Dennis Williford of Mocksville, Winston Williford of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Dana Rife of Granite City, Ill., Roy Woodruff of Bridgeport, Texas, and Tommy Woodruff of Bardwell, Ky.; three sisters, Joyce Greiner of Highland, Ill., Phillis Wright of Sheboygan, Wis., and Cynthia Nell Moser of Bardwell; and 11 grandchildren.

Services were conducted June 26 at the Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
