MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Takisha Lynette Lambert, 26, died July 9, 2002, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.

Born July 6, 1976, in Sikeston, daughter of Albert Holmes Jr. of St. Louis and Marilyn K. Lambert of Marianna, Ark., she graduated in 1994 from Lee Senior High School in Marianna and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, receiving an honorable discharge. She continued her education at the University of Memphis and Baptist College of Health Science in Memphis and was currently pursuing a masters degree in education. Lambert was a registered nurse and member of the Greater Imani Church and Christian Center in Memphis.

Survivors in addition to her parents include: one brother, Bobby Lambert of Sikeston; and a special friend, Jimmy Miller Jr. of Memphis.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greater Imani Church and Christian Center with the Rev. William Adkins, pastor, officiating.

The Rev. Chester Yarber and the Rev. Lamar Keels will conduct a funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday at West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.

The Missouri Military Honors Program will conduct military graveside rites at Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
