Evelyn P. Price

MOREHOUSE - Evelyn Louise Parmley Price, 95, died at 9:45 a.m. March 18, 2003, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

Born March 18, 1908, in Morehouse, daughter of the late Joseph Ephrim and Bessie Middleton Parmley Jr., she was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sikeston. She was a secretary and clerk for the New Madrid County Assessor's office for 31 years before retiring.

On Sept. 29, 1927, in Bloomfield, she married Richard Ralph "Little Doc" Price who preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1977.

She is survived by her sister, Leatrice Parmley Skarpa of Seal Beach, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Friday until service time at 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. John E. Howells, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sikeston City Cemetery.
