Davidson chosen for Honors Board

SIKESTON - For his contributions and volunteer efforts with Little League basketball, the Park Board has chosen Allan Davidson to have his name installed on the Honors Board.

Davidson is the 28th individual chosen for the Board since 1986. Located near the Ingram Road entrance to the Recreation Complex, the Honors Board recognizes individuals for outstanding volunteer efforts in community youth programs.

Since the program's inception 22 years ago, Davidson has been involved with Tanner Street Church of God Little League basketball, serving as coach, referee and league supervisor.

He has also directed the entire program for the past several years.

In nominating Davidson for the recognition, the Rev. Carl Addison, pastor of the church, said: "Allan brings dedication and love for kids to his role in Tanner Street's Little League program. He has served our community in a steady, dependable and dedicated fashion."

Davidson's bronze plaque will be installed on the Honors Board during a ceremony in May. The exact date will be announced later.
