Mabel Tatum

ANNISTON - Mabel L. Tatum, 82, died at 9:45 p.m. March 18, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Feb. 28, 1921, in Anniston, daughter of the late Phil and Ethel Krauss Tatum Sr., she lived in St. Louis for many years where she was employed by the Bemis Bag Company. After returning to Anniston, she worked for the Anniston Water Works Department.

Survivors include: two brothers, Phil Tatum Jr. and Charles Tatum of Anniston; and several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers preceded her in death.

Visitation begins at 5 pm. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday with Martin Lucas, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Tom Scherer, Jimmy Reno, Larry Ray, John D. Ray, Ray Hatton and Victor Ahlfield.
