Della Speakman

SIKESTON - Della E. Speakman, 90, died Oct. 13, 2002, at the Clearview Nursing Center.

Born Oct. 26, 1911, in Double Springs, Ala., daughter of the late John T. and Mary Anne Mote Waddell, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston.

On Nov. 10, 1929, she married Henry Speakman who preceded her in death on March 26, 1991.

Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tommy Speakman and Edward and Sue Speakman of Sikeston; two granddaughters, Debra Enderle of Cape Girardeau and Christina Utterback of Boston, Mass.; and three great-grandchildren.

Two brothers also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. Dr. Jim Guffie, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Montgomery City, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
