Martha Driskill

SIKESTON - Martha E. Driskill, 90, died Oct. 15, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Dec. 11, 1911, in Caruthersville, daughter of the late Harry and Grace Lyles Friend, she was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church. She retired in 1977 as a dietitian for Missouri Delta Medical Center.

In 1929, she married Arvin J. Driskill who preceded her in death in 1945.

Survivors include: two daughters, Doris Chaney of Orange Park, Fla., and Jean Smith of Sikeston; and 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Margaret Bendig, preceded her in death on April 10, 2000.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Steve Tippen, pastor of North Acres General Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
