VAN BUREN - The Missouri State Highway Patrol is continuing its search for evidence in the murder of a fellow officer.
Athough Lance Shockley is charged with first degree murder in the death of Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Carl D. Graham Jr. and Shockley's wife, Coree Shockley, is charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence in the case, the investigation is still ongoing. A lever action .243-caliber rifle, possibly a Browning model BLR-81, has been developed as a weapon of interest in the investigation.
Anyone with information regarding Graham's murder, the rifle, or the Shockleys should contact Troop G Headquarters at 417-469-3121 or the Southeast Missouri Crime Stoppers Hotline at 573-332-0500. There is still a $30,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for the death of Sergeant Carl D. Graham Jr.
The charges for which the Lance and Coree Shockley have been arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
