SIKESTON -- Two Sikeston competitors, Daniel Pharris and Jeremy Harper, finished in the top two in their respective classes at the Sikeston Drag Strip on Saturday.
Jim Wade of Bertrand ran away with the Super Pro class, averaging 130.35 mph in an elapsed time of 5.254 seconds with a dial-in of 5.27 and a reaction time of .548 seconds.
Harper finished second in 7.84 seconds with a dial-in of 7.86 at 83.36 mph and a reaction time of .525.
In the Pro class, Darrell Jones of Bertrand won with an average speed of 100.20 mph in 6.732 seconds with a dial-in of 6.72 and a reaction time of .509.
Frank Radake of High Ridge ran at 107.68 mph with an e.t. of 6.284 (dial-in 6.28) and a reaction time of .522 for a runner-up finish.
Radake doubled with a first place in the ET division. He ran at 108.66 mph with an e.t. of 6.329 on a dial-in of 6.28 and a reaction time of .553.
Pharris finished second in the ET class with a time of 7.020 seconds on a dial-in of 7.01 at 97.80 mph with a reaction time of .622.
