Bobby McWhirter
MALVERN, Ark. - Bobby Gene McWhirter, 69, formerly of Lilbourn and Marston, Mo., died March 12, 2002, in Little Rock.
Born July 18, 1932, son of the late Robert Spencer and Ophelia Key McWhirter, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Malvern.
On Nov. 21, 1955, in Arkansas, he married Delphia Mae Brooks who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Sherrie Jones of Malvern, Carolyn Heitman of Hot Springs and Melody Clark of Poyen; one sister, Mavis Miller of Marston; two brothers, Donald McWhirter of House Springs, Mo., and Jimmy McWhirter of Lono, Ark.; and five grandchildren.
One brother, Billy McWhirter, preceded him in death.
Services were conducted Saturday at the New Hope Cemetery in Rolla.
Pallbearers were: Charles Brooks, Alvin Miller, Roy Brooks, Elton Rimmer, Robert Morck, James Brooks and Frank Brooks.
Johnny McWhirter served as honorary pallbearer.
