BENTON - Ben Hennemann, 88, died at 9:35 a.m. March 18, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 14, 1913, at Schalls, son of the late Theodore and Mary Balsman Henneman, he was a carpenter for Harold Bollinger Construction. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, St. Joseph Men's Sodality and the Senior Citizens.

On Nov. 24, 1936, he married Luvina Winkler who preceded him in death on May 14, 2000.

Survivors include: four sons, Jim Hennemann of Cape Girardeau, Ralph Hennemann and Alan Hennemann of Benton and Donnie Hennemann of Kelso; four daughters, JoAnn Schott of Oran, Yvonne McVay of Jackson and Jeannie Fodge and Geri Hennemann of Benton; one brother, Melvin Henneman of Menfro; and 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

One brother and two sisters also preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, where a prayer service is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Denis Catholic Church with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Denis Cemetery.
