Woody Brashears

FESTUS - Woodrow W. "Woody" Brashears, 88, died June 3, 2002, in Festus.

Born June 5, 1913, in Kentucky, son of the late Henry and Rosa Lane Brashears, he retired as an electrician for the Scott-New Madrid-Mississippi Electrical Company in Sikeston.

In 1934, in Sikeston, he married Thelma Thompson who survives of the home.

Also preceding him in death were one son, Charles E. Brashears and four sisters and four brothers.

Other survivors include: one grandson, Nick Brashears of O'Fallon; one great-granddaughter, Ashley R. Brashears of DeSoto; one brother, Claude Brashears of St. Joseph; and special friends, Greg Redfield, Coby Redfield, Erin Redfield, Abby Redfield and Amy Redfield of Festus.

Services were conducted June 5 at Mahn Twin City Funeral Home in Festus with the Rev. Mel Thompson officiating.

Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
