Harold Thompson

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Harold Lewis Thompson, 70, died at 5:10 a.m. June 19, 2002, at the Lutheran Home.

Born Nov. 4, 1931, in Allenville, son of the late Fred and Lulu Myrtle Harmon Thompson, he was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Jackson before retiring.

On July 15, 1950, at Piggott, Ark., he married Jane Evelyn Sanders who survives of Cape Girardeau.

Other survivors include: four sons, Roger Thompson of Ypsilanti, Mich., Ronald Thompson and Randol Thompson of Jackson, Mich., and Richard Thompson of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Rhonda Woodruff of Jackson, Mich.; two sisters, Dean Caldwell and Myrtle Thompson of Cape Girardeau; and 11 grandchildren.

Five brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Burial will be private.
