Shirley E. Zook

GLENALLEN -- Shirley Evelyn Zook, 73, died Sept. 23, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 15, 1931, in Traverse City, Mich., daughter of the late Bernard and Ruth Bowman Holman, she was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church at Glenallen, where she served as Sunday school teacher. She was retired from Paramount Hat Factory in Fredericktown.

On Nov. 12, 1949, she married Billy Zook who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Randy Zook of Bloomfield; three daughters, Vicki Zook of Essex and Ruth Weaver and Sherry Chism of Bloomfield; one brother, Jack Holman of Traverse City; and one sister, Onahlee Crawford of Traverse City; and eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

One sister, Jeanne Snedeker, and one brother, Thomas Valley, also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, where services will be at 1 p.m. Monday.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
