MALDEN - Marvin Joseph Stratman, 73, died April 5, 2004, at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff. MALDEN - Marvin Joseph Stratman, 73, died April 5, 2004, at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff.

Born Sept. 8, 1930, in St. Louis, son of the late Joseph Charles and Cecilia Mary Knopple Stratman, he was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Malden and Knights of Columbus in Glennonville. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

On Dec. 25, 1950, at Malden, he married Mary Ann Wagster who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: five sons, Stephen Stratman of Port Wentworth, Ga., Scott Stratman of Malden, Shon Stratman of Sikeston, Spencer Stratman of Kelso and Slade Stratman of South Haven, Miss.; one sister, Dorothy Schulte of St. Louis; and 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Elaine Stratman and one granddaughter, Brandy Stratman.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, where a rosary will be recited at 5 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann Catholic Church with the Rev. Glenn Eftink officiating.

Graveside military rites will be conducted at Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
