ORAN - The Oran Eagles improved to 5-0 on the season with a 7-0 shutout of North Pemiscot on Monday at Oran High School.

Oran hurler Matt Seyer threw all seven innings, allowing just one hit. He struck out five.

Trevor Irwin led the Eagles with two hits and two RBIs. Garrett Roslen went 1-3 with two RBIs. Chase Seyer added a double.

North Pemiscot was the losing pitcher, throwing 4 1/3 innings and allowing four runs (two earned) off two hits. He struck out two, walked nine and hit a batter.

Brandon Massey threw 1 2/3 innings of relief, allowing two hits and three walks. He allowed three runs (one earned) with one strikeout.

Dustin Boatwright had the Mustangs' only hit.

Oran will host Scott City on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
