Raymond Gilmer Sr.

CHAFFEE - Raymond Eugene Gilmer Sr., 66, died at 4:20 a.m. April 9, 2004, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

Born May 29, 1937, at Cape Girardeau, son of the late William Oscar and Carrie Kerns Gilmer, he retired as a self-employed lawn service provider. He was a member of the Chaffee General Baptist Church.

On July 1, 1983, he married Linda Zeigler who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Dennis Gilmer and William Gilmer of Lincoln, Ill., and Raymond Gilmer Jr. of Tennessee; two daughters, Della Gilmer of Lincoln and Ruth Ann Gilmer, address unavailable; and one sister, Lillian Lamb of Macon Ga.

Visitation is from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Union Park Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Eades officiating.
