EAST PRAIRIE - Caroline Rose, 59, died at 10 a.m. Nov. 10, 2003, at her brother's home in Charleston.
Born Jan. 29, 1944, in Charleston, daughter of the late John Wesley and Mary Marie Smith Rose, she was a lifelong resident of East Prairie. She was a home health caregiver with American Home Care and was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church near Charleston.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Tamatha and Kenny Vaughn of Huntington, Tenn.; one brother, Billy Rose of Charleston; four sisters, Evelyn Barron of Lake St. Louis, Ann Williams of Cape Girardeau and Sue Howard and Beverly Humphrey of East Prairie; and one granddaughter, Jessica Vaughn.
Preceding her in death were three brothers, J.C. Rose, Bobby Rose and F. B. Rose; and one sister, Doris Burkett.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church, and the Rev. Fred Girdwood, pastor of the First Christian Church of East Prairie, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Lee Goodin, Albert Goodin, John W.L. Goodin, Wallace Reeves, Stanley Triplett and John Littrell.
Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews: Tom Hafford, Steve Burkett, Darrell Burkett, Jay Rose, John Chandler and Billy Rose Jr.
