CHAFFEE - Ollis Ray Smith, 77, died at 8:32 a.m. April 26, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 21, 1929, in Torch, to the late Lee Roy and Myrtie Mae Stewart Smith, he was a construction worker for Fru Con Construction at Fruitland, a member of the Craftsman Union Local No. 1 of Cape Girardeau and a member of Christian Mission Church in Benton.
On Feb. 29, 1948, he married Arvella Brown who survives of the home.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Charlotte Smith of Chaffee; one daughter, Cathy Trost of Jackson; two brothers, Elmer Smith and Floyd Smith of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Wanda Morris, Virginia Poston and Judy Dambach of Cape Girardeau; and three grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.
One brother and five sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. William Marshall will officiate assisted by the Rev. Randy Morse.
Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
