SIKESTON - Louie McDonald, 90, died April 20, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born Dec. 28, 1916, at Double Springs, Ala., son of the late Marion and Docia Jackson McDonald, he was a retired farmer and member of North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston. SIKESTON - Louie McDonald, 90, died April 20, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Dec. 28, 1916, at Double Springs, Ala., son of the late Marion and Docia Jackson McDonald, he was a retired farmer and member of North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston. He was also a longtime member and deacon of Little Vine General Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir and quartet.

On April 8, 1939, he married Thelma Beck, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Hal Mark McDonald of Ballwin and Duke and Pat McDonald of Sikeston; one daughter and a son-in-law, Brenda and Wayne Voss of Advance; one brother, Lester McDonald of Anna, Ill.; one sister, Olivia Engram of Vanduser; seven grandchildren, Brad McDonald, Brittany McDonald and Brooke McDonald of Sikeston, Fara McDonald and Erika Hamilton of Cape Girardeau, Keith Voss of Stafford, Va. and Karl Voss of Advance; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services under the direction of Ponder Funeral Home will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with the Rev. James Trotter and the Rev. Glenn Hamilton officiating.
