NEW MADRID - Earl "Punkie" Fields, 71, died Nov. 3, 2004, at his home.
Born Sept. 22, 1933, in New Madrid, son of the late Henry and Edith Crow Fields, he was a retired farmer.
On March 1, 1952, in New Madrid, he married Betty Jo Flannagan who preceded him in death on March 18, 2000.
Survivors include: four sons, William Fields, Kenneth Fields, Bobby Fields and Wesley Fields of New Madrid; four daughters, Donna Cook and Janice Fields of New Madrid, Shelia Fields of Risco and Martha Fields of Parma; one sister, Juanita Jackson of Jackson, Miss.; three brothers, Don Fields and Bobby Fields of New Madrid and Ethel "Baldie" Fields; and 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Fields; and two sisters, Bessie Clark and Mary Clark.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Gary Henson, pastor of the New Madrid Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
Pallbearers will be: Huston Fields, James Fields, Chris Fields, Eddie Clark, Gary Cook and Denny Bratcher.
