ORAN -- The Oran Eagles squeaked past Saxony Lutheran, 4-3, on Thursday.
Oran (13-4) tallied the winning run on Tyler Beardslee's suicide squeeze bunt which scored Chase Seyer in the fifth inning.
Alex Chasteen picked up the victory in a complete game effort.
Kody Campbell paced Oran's five-hit offense with two hits in three trips including a double. Beardslee, Chasteen and Jake Carter singled for the other Eagle hits.
Beardslee drove home two runs and Chasteen had one RBI.
Oran faces Kelly on Tuesday.
Paul Johnson led the 'Jays with four hits. Colin Gilooly and Jarryd Smith had two hits.
Blake Dirnberger pitched four scoreless innings and added a three-run home run in a home win. He struck out four and did not walk a batter.
Ryan Modglin had three hits and two RBIs and Simmons added two hits for the Rams (11-5).
Cody Bailey scattered five hits over seven innings and struck out six to earn the win. He also went 3-for-4 at the plate.
Clay Dover delivered a clutch two-run double in the fifth inning to pad the Cubs' lead.
Trenton Moses took the loss for Advance despite going 2-for-3 at the plate.
Oran built an 8-0 lead through six innings and improved to 12-1 with a home victory.
Three of Oran's hits went for extra bases. Jodi Urhahn and Ellen Sikes each had a triple while Cassie Graviett had a double. Urhahn, Sikes and Wendy Eftink each finished with two hits.
Callie Kielhofner picked up the win to improve to 9-1.
Tasha Rhodes hit two home runs and had four hits in a home win.
Juliet Dickey, Tasha Lincoln and Taylor Steckman had two hits apiece for the Cardinals.
