MOREHOUSE -- William "Bill" Arthur, 76, died May 5, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Sept. 23, 1930, in Parma, son of the late Charles William and Emma Douglas Arthur, he was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II. He had been a truck driver for Malone & Hyde before retiring and was of the Baptist belief.

On Sept. 10, 1950, he married Lotha Vaught who preceded him in death on Jan. 3, 2007.

Slso preceding him in death were one son, Larry Arthur; and one sister, one great-grandson and his stepmother.

Survivors include: four daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Dale Allen of Morehouse and Susan and Drank Delana, Karen and T.J. Nall and Sharon and Roy Bonner of Sikeston; one half-sister, Diane Huffmaster of Waldo, Ark.; one half-

brother, Charles William Arthur of Bloomfield; one daughter-in-law, Denise Arthur of Vanduser; and nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Roy Bonner, pastor of Greers Chapel, will officiate.

Burial with full military rites will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood.
