SIKESTON - David Ervin Ferguson, 75, died May 5, 2007, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
Born June 19, 1931, in Meridian, Miss., son of the late Robert and Ruby Adams Ferguson, he was a member of the Harbor Light Christian Center in Sikeston, a member of the Meldrum Post of the American Legion and a member of the Sikeston Eagles Aerie No. 3319 for 37 years. He had been an active volunteer for American Legion, VFW, Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo, Kenny Rogers Children's Center and was an avid animal lover.
On Aug. 28, 1978, in Sikeston, he married Flora Cato, who preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 1989.
One brother and one sister also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two stepsons, Archie Maloney of Puxico and D.W. Malone of St. Louis; two stepdaughters, Dee Duke of Advance and Emma Wyatt of Dallas; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Dr. James Beaird, pastor of Harbor Light Christian Center, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Berrong Cemetery near Zalma.
