SIKESTON -- Amanda Katherine Dame and Shelby Henderson Winchester were married May 15, 2004, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Monsignor Richard Rolwing performed the double-ring ceremony. Gift bearers were Melanie Dame Moore and Melinda Dame Wilferth, sisters of the bride. Scripture readers were Madeline Oliver Wilson and Elizabeth Mitchell Johnson.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Terry Dame of Sikeston and granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert O'Neal Dame and Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Guy Campbell.
Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ray Carey and the late James Raymond Winchester. He is the grandson of Mrs. Viverette Lee and the late Travis Wade Shelby and William Henderson Winchester and stepgrandson of Mrs. George Pearson of Kansas City.
Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Mrs. Joseph Fuchs, violinist Mrs. Arron Keilbach and soloist Kathryn Carey, sister of the bridegroom.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride carried a bouquet of ivory tulips and wore an ivory silk organza gown by Lazaro.
Maid of honor was Dr. Sarah Marie Boyce of Birmingham, Ala. Bridesmaids were Sara Oliver Archie, cousin of the bridegroom; Becky DeKriek Ault, Becky Walton Ault; Melanie Blake Gilmore and Hannah Matthews Moore, nieces of the bride; Valerie Mullins Paris, Andrea Glenn Story; and Ann Hunter Whitehead, cousin of the bridegroom. Amanda Campbell Moore served as junior bridesmaid and flower girl was Amelia Caroline Moore, both nieces of the bride.
James Riley Winchester attended his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Nathaniel Rushing Ault, Harry Holt Lott III, Edgar Calvin Marshall IV, Talbot Odom McCain II, James Jackson Webb IV, Graham DeLane Whitehead; and Travis Andrew Williams and David Elliott Williams, cousins of the bridegroom. Ushers were Shawn Pollard Archie; Chase McBride Carey, brother of the bridegroom; Hubert Lloyd Delay III, James Holt Dugan; James Dabney McMurray III, cousin of the bridegroom; George Russell Story and Cooper Byrnes Tyner.
Laura Latham Schwabb, cousin of the bridegroom, was program attendant and Mrs. Thomas Nunnelee was wedding coordinator for the nuptial Mass.
Following the ceremony, a reception dinner and dance was hosted by the bride's parents at the home of the bride. Music was provided by the six-member band, Entice, of Nashville, Tenn.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the bridegroom's parents was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Storey the evening before the wedding.
An engagement party was held in the home of Dr. and Mrs. Steven Conerly of Hattiesburg, Miss.
Mrs. John Hux hosted a bridal shower and luncheon in her home.
A cocktail party was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Wilson and a bridesmaids' luncheon was served in the home of Mrs. Douglas Walton.
Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Archie hosted a backyard barbecue at their home in East Prairie.
Following a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple is making their home in Hattiestburg.
The bride is a pharmaceutical sales representative for Sanof-Aventis and her husband is an independent freight broker contracted by Edwards Transportation.
