SIKESTON - Opal Louise White, 80, died June 18, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born May 5, 1923, in Parma, daughter of the late Clement Edward and Velva McCane Summerlott, she attended Fellowship Baptist Church and had formerly attended Tanner Street Church of God. She worked for Canvass Products Manufacturing Co. for 20 years, where she was an assistant foreman and supervisor on the sewing line.

On Aug. 8, 1942, in New Madrid, she married Charles Floral White who preceded her in death on July 22, 1974.

Survivors include: four sons, Don White of Springfield, Gary White of Shorewood, Ill., Charles White of Bertrand and George Dwight White of Perryville; three brothers, A.J. Summerlott of East Prairie, Bill Summerlott of Rockford, Ill., and Jack Summerlott of Sikeston; two sisters, Virginia Muellman of St. Louis and Elsie Walters of Portageville; and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

One brother and three sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Joe McCullough, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Phillip Shane, Rich Sarac, Matthew White, Chuck White, Charlie White and Ryan White.
