Doris Beardsley

ROCKFORD, Ill. - Doris June Beardsley, 62, died July 12, 2004, in the Swedish American Hospital.

Born July 20, 1941, in Morehouse, Mo., daughter of the late Daniel and Rosa Lee Kinder, she attended school in Morehouse and lived in Missouri before moving to Rockford 28 years ago.

On Jan. 6, 1960, in Morehouse, she married Bobby Beardsley Sr. who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Vickie Beardsley Jr. and Steve and Keri Beardsley of Rockford; two daughters, LaDonna Avila and Deborah Correa of Rockford; four sisters, Alma Winkle of Wappapello, Mo., Geraldine Layton of Anniston, Mo., Petriglia Wheelis of Augusta, Ga., and Carol Faust of Bartlesville, Okla.; one brother, Edward Kinder of Bellmont, Miss.; and 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Kinder and Carlos Kinder.

Services were conducted July 16 at First Born Ministries in Rockford.

Burial followed in the New Milford Cemetery.

Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
