Joseph French
CHARLESTON - Joseph H. French, 54, died at 7:40 a.m. July 27, 2004, at his mother's home in Charleston.
Born July 21, 1950, in Cairo, Ill., son of Jane Green French Cross of Charleston and the late Oliver French Jr., he was a lifelong resident of Charleston. A 1968 graduate of Charleston High School, he was a member of the First Christian Church in Charleston.
Survivors in addition to his mother include: two brothers, Oliver French III and Billy French of Charleston; one sister, Teresa Small of Paducah, Ky.; his maternal grandmother, Belva Green of Hot Springs, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Claude Green; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver French Sr.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until service time at 11 a.m. at McMikle Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Malugen, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
