Dollie Jenkins
DEXTER - Dollie Jones Jenkins, 85, died May 22, 2004, at her home.
Born Aug. 11, 1918, in Vanduser, daughter of the late John Harry Clark and Mary Jane Husk Clark Finley, she was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Dexter and was a retired seamstress for Inland Shoe Company.
She was first married to Lester Monroe Jones on Dec. 19, 1936, in Jackson, and he preceded her in death on March 26, 1958. On Nov. 24, 1959, in Indiana, she married Walter Jenkins, who preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1979.
Survivors include: two sons, Hilbert Monroe Jones of Sulphur, La., and Wesley Leon Jones of Jackson; two daughters, Doris Elder of Dexter and Margaret Pauling of Freemont, Ohio; one brother, Thomas Eugene Finley of Gape Girardeau; one sister, Christine Slinkard of Cape Girardeau; and 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were: two brothers, William Finley and Harry Russel Clark; and her stepfather, Tom Finley.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The Rev. Winferd Wren will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
