Olive King

MOREHOUSE - Olive A. King, 84, died at 12:25 p.m. Oct. 15, 2002, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

Born March 8, 1918, in Miner, daughter of the late Charles and Nettie Fisher Turner, she was a housewife and member of Rauch-Spence Memorial United Methodist Church in Morehouse.

On Dec. 23, 1935, in Sikeston, she married Allen "Bud" King who preceded her in death on June 1, 2000.

Survivors include: one son, Charles Allen King of Owasso, Okla.; one sister, Johnsy Holt of Sikeston; four grandchildren, Charles Allen "Al" King, Becky Driskel, Rachel King and Shannon King of Owasso; and eight great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was also preceded in death by three half brothers and two half sisters.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Marty Blakey, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Chaffee, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
