NEW MADRID - Jettie Lee Patterson, 84, died May 27, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Aug. 30, 1919, in Senatobia, Miss., daughter of the late J.D. and Ora Atkins Richardson, she was a member of the Beebe Memorial CME Church in New Madrid, where she served on the Usher Board. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Neighborhood Watch Program.

Her husband, James Patterson Sr., preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Willie and Diane Patterson of Aurora, Ill.; one daughter and son-in-law, Ramona and Victor Hughes of New Madrid; three stepsons and one daughter-in-law, James and Barbara Patterson Jr. and Charles Herron of Decatur, Ill., and Patrick Patterson of Atlanta; three stepdaughters, Eva D. Murray of Carbondale, Ill., and Anita Patterson and Sheila Patterson of Atlanta; two sisters, Mary Reese of Memphis, Tenn., and Lela Rae Martin of Detroit; one brother, Lewis Atkins of Memphis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Doris Ann Patterson and Fannie Mae Brown; two sisters, Bessie Lee Tate and Winnie Dean; and three brothers, Lucious Atkins, Ephew Atkins and James Atkins.

Services were conducted at noon today at the Beebe Memorial CME Church with the Rev. Carl D. Joyner officiating.

Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery.
