NEW MADRID - Jerry Wayne Palmer, 60, died June 3, 2004, at his home. Born Nov. 27, 1943, in Dyersburg, Tenn., son of Tommie Brashier Palmer of New Madrid and the late Charles Turner Palmer, he worked at Noranda Aluminum for 34 years. NEW MADRID - Jerry Wayne Palmer, 60, died June 3, 2004, at his home.

Born Nov. 27, 1943, in Dyersburg, Tenn., son of Tommie Brashier Palmer of New Madrid and the late Charles Turner Palmer, he worked at Noranda Aluminum for 34 years. He served with the U.S. Air Force for four years and was a member of the Lilbourn Church of Christ.

On March 8, 1969, in Lilbourn, he married Margaret Suver who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jerry Kirk and Kathy Palmer, John David and Tonya Palmer and Justin Blair Palmer of New Madrid; one brother, Charles Edward Palmer of New Madrid; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jason Bradley Palmer; one brother, Ralph Elton Palmer; and one sister, Betty Jean Tuten.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. Shane Williams will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Lee Lavalle, Brian Lavalle, Mark Adam Wade, Charles Stokes, Donny Brown and Darren Brown.
