SIKESTON - On Nov. 11, the Sikeston Little Theatre officially launched its membership drive for the 1963-64 season. Mrs. Tom Allen, membership chairman, announces that the drive will be conducted over the telephone.
SIKESTON - The proceeds from the "Reflections of the Old South" hospital ball were donated to the Missouri Delta Community Hospital expansion effort Tuesday afternoon. The amount of the money donated, which totaled $28,000, raised the amount collected for expansion to $1,767,152.
MINER - Alderman Dianne Conn's absence and Alderman Donald Holman's tenacity again kept an agreement on Miner City Hall financing off the city board's completed agenda. After routine approval of bills and minutes at Tuesday's regular meeting of the Miner Board of Aldermen, Mayor Bill James raised the controversial issue. City hall expansion is well under way, and a pay estimate due Bridger Construction. However, an agreement for a tax anticipation note from First National Bank, given initial approval by three aldermen, hasn't been signed.
