Wallace Howard

CROWDER -- Wallace Reed Howard, 81, died at 2 a.m. Oct. 4, 2002, at the Bertrand Nursing Facility.

Born Sept. 19, 1921, in Crowder, son of the late John Thomas and Mollie May Howard, he had been a butcher at Bob Taylor Grocery and served in the U.S. Air Force.

On May 15, 1959, in Vanduser, he married Margie Wigington who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son, Anthony Reed Howard of Hornlake, Miss.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The body is to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
