ADVANCE - William "Garner" Dunlap, 90, died Dec. 2, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare in Bloomfield.

Born Sept. 23, 1914, in Bell City, son of the late William W. and Myrtle Garner Dunlap, he was a retired farmer and veteran of the U.S. Army.

On Dec. 25, 1939, in Bell City, he married Virginia Wealand who preceded him in death in 1984.

Survivors include: one son, Richard Dunlap of Bolivar; one daughter, Barbara Reynolds of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, John Dunlap of Idaho and Delmar Haven of Oviedo, Fla.; three sisters, Mary Myers of Albuquerque, N.M., Ida Arms of Carrie Ville, Fla., and Dobby Sullivan of Annapolis; and four grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Brinson; and three sisters and two brothers.

Services were conducted Saturday at Morgan Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Sale officiating.

Graveside military rites were conducted at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City.
