EAST PRAIRIE - Between 200 and 300 people braved a hot summer afternoon Sunday to be present at dedication ceremonies of the new post office for East Prairie. Robert H. Hunter is postmaster and Joe Webb was chairman for the occasion.

SIKESTON - The board of directors for the Scott-New Madrid-Mississippi counties cooperative for 1982 include James Abernathy, Norbert Rolwing, Tom Moore, Charles Grojean, Albert Elfrank, Clyde Hawes, Jessie Bennett, Sam Jones, Fred Moxley, Louis Smith, R.B. Vann and A.A. Birk.

SIKESTON - The City of Sikeston is searching for volunteers to serve in board-member capacities on each of the nine advisory committees that serve the community. Without the help of interested persons, a volunteer shortage could put the city in a bind and slow progress among the different boards, officials said.
