Stephen Skalsky
COLUMBIA - Stephen Skalsky, 46, formerly of Sikeston, died Sept. 20, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, following an extended illness.
Born Feb. 12, 1956, in Sikeston, he is the son of Orville Skalsky of Sikeston and the late Norma Jean Parker Skalsky. A 1974 graduate of Sikeston High School, he graduated in 1978 from Drury College and received a masters degree in social work in 1997 from the University of Missouri. He worked for the Missouri Division of Family Services before ill health forced his retirement.
Survivors in addition to his father include: one sister and brother-in-law, Gale and Charles Ancell of Sikeston; his stepmother, Wanda Skalsky of Sikeston; one nephew, David Ancell of Memphis, Tenn.; one niece, Kristin Ancell of Columbia; one aunt, Lilly Mae Skalsky of Granite City, Ill.; four cousins, Jim Sturgeon of Saugus, Calif., Bill Vinson of Oviedo, Fla., Harold Lee Skalsky of Granite City and Debbie Ake of St. Louis County; and a host of friends.
Visitation is from 6:30 p.m. Tuesday until service time at 7:30 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston. The Rev. John Bouldrey, pastor, will officiate.
