SIKESTON -- Matthew Moore, 68, died Feb. 25, 2008, at the Clearview Nursing Center.
Born June 2, 1939, in Newport, Ark., to the late Matthew and Antonio Reynolds Moore Sr., he had lived in Southeast Missouri all his life and in Sikeston for the past few years. He was of the Baptist belief.
On Sept. 7, 1957, he married Dorothy Nelson.
Survivors include: one son, Larry Moore of Huntsville, Ala.; two daughters, Barbara Herrion of Sikeston and Brenda Hawkins of Chicago; two brothers, Raymond Lyles and Floyd Austell of St. Louis; one sister, Ruth Ann Glover of St. Louis; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Austell and Ford Austell; and one sister, Lillian Brown.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon Saturday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Gene Perkins of Zion Grove Baptist Church in Malden will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden.
