Brenda Wolford
CORDOVA, Tenn. - Brenda Joyce Wolford, 59, formerly of Mississippi County, Mo., died at 3:10 p.m. Feb. 4, 2002, at Baptist Memorial East Hospital in Memphis.
Born Nov. 8, 1942, near Kennett, Mo., daughter of the late Roy and Gladys Simmons, she retired as an accountant for the Metropolitan Interfaith Association in Memphis. She attended the Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis and was a member of the Tamms (Ill.) Baptist Church.
On Sept. 2, 1961, she married George Albert Wolford who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and Mark Rutherford of Bartlett, Tenn., and Pamela and Richard Rogoish of Lakeland; two brothers, Leon Simmons of Dallas, Texas, and Bobby Simmons of Kennett; and two grandchildren, Abigail Davis and Taylor Rogoish of Lakeland.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Simmons and Harold Simmons.
Visitation begins after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, Mo., where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday with Eugene Hart officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Pallbearers will be: Mark Rutherford, Hugo Rutherford, Richard Rogoish, Marvin Wolford, Wilbert Wolford and Bill Wolford.
