Michael Kirchhofer

SIKESTON - Michael J. Kirchhofer, 37, died Oct. 8, 2002, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Bernie.

Born Dec. 18, 1964, in St. Louis, son of James Kirchhofer of Atlanta, Ga., and Martha Johnson Kirchhofer of Sikeston, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked in the construction business.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Kayci Ayers of Potosi; and his stepfather, who raised him, Wendell Pruett of East Prairie.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Estelle Deprow.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dolan Rogers, pastor of the Sikeston Community Church, will officiate and Jason Grubbs, associate pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will assist.

Full military graveside rites will be conducted at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Leonard Lett, Michael Deprow, Randy Deprow, John Harris, Jason Grubbs and Michael Bartlett.
