Wilma Oliver

SIKESTON - Wilma Oliver, 79, died Dec. 4, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Jan. 3, 1923, in Columbus, Ky., daughter of the late W.D. and Mamie Coker Moore, she was a member of a Baptist church in Memphis, Tenn., and was a child care provider for many years before retiring.

On May 7, 1939, she married R.B. Oliver who preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1999.

Survivors include: one brother, J.D. Moore of Sikeston; two sisters, Martha Sue Foster of Vanduser and Margaret Roberts of Shelley, Idaho; one stepbrother, Joe Morris of Phoenix, Ariz.; and seven nephews and 10 nieces, including Paula Oliver Dodillet of Centralia, Ill.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Theran Oliver; one brother, Harold Moore; and four sisters, Iris Barnharte, Ornis Raines, Bessie Harrison and Doris Lett.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday. Dr. Rick Ramsey, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Sikeston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jiggs Moore, Vance Raines, Billy Joe Foster, J.R. Kirkpatrick, Larry Arthur and Ben Moore.v
