'Sam' Morgan
CHARLESTON - Wanema "Sam" Parks Morgan, 91, died at 10:31 a.m. Nov. 7, 2003, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Oct. 28, 1912, at Blaine, Ark., daughter of the late George Washington and Myrtle Lowery Robinson, she had lived in Mississippi County since 1935 and was a member of the Charleston Church of Christ.
On May 3, 1929, she married Henry Oneal Parks who preceded her in death on July 26, 1973.
On Dec. 27, 1974, she married Irvin Morgan who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Leslie Parks of Muskogee, Okla.; three daughters, Linda Warren of Bertrand, Nancy Alexander of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Debby Morgan Holman of Crossville, Tenn.; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Craig Morgan; one daughter, Pamela Morgan Hill; one brother and two sisters.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday with her son-in-law, Jerry Holman, officiating.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
